Water Pressure

What is good water pressure in a home? Well, that depends. What size home do you have? How many bathrooms? How many water fixtures are expected to be in use at one time?
Generally speaking, somewhere between 60 to 70 psi. Usually, we find the homes on the Gulf Coast to be more in the 50 psi range. We have found this pressure can provide decent pressure for a 2 or 2 1/2 bath house without too much drop if someone is using the shower and someone is washing dishes, or the washing machine is filling.
Obviously, there are variables under any pressure conditions. Things like supply line size, proper routing of the plumbing, manifold configuration, etc. We have experienced extreme measures on both sides of the gauge. Twenty to thirty psi readings off of some wells, and high seventies to eighty-plus psi on some other tests (actually a city supply).
In our experience, twenty to thirty psi is going to give you very poor pressure when trying to operate multiple water outlets. The high seventy psi and above can cause water hammer, leaks, and issues you just don't want.
If you are experiencing any abnormal conditions, contact a local plumber and they will be able to assist you.
